Mr. Newman has been performing with the troupe since 1992. His preferred roles include scoundrels, wastrels, and braggarts, though he's been known to play a lover now and then. Mr Newman began his acting career in New York City at the age of seven, and has appeared in numerous roles including Caliban in The Tempest, Ben in Look Homeward Angel, The Grocer in The Knight of the Burning Pestle, and Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream. He cites Frank McCourt and Ian McKellen as his two greatest influences. Mr. Newman now busies himself with The Boston Babydolls. a modern burlesque troupe.
